With the level of life-improving rapidly, people’s life becomes more and more comfortable and pleasant over time. All civilizations have made great progress in history. But who could imagine we can live a modern life like this in ancient times?
It is a miracle that the earth is the single planet that has living creatures in the universe. Along with human kind’s evolution, the earth becomes more and more colorful and beautiful. Although we drink water in a modern way, we can’t forget human beings’ uncivilized way to gain all production sources.
Unlike modern advanced ways of freshwater-cleaning, ancient people could only drink unboiled water from rivers and lakes. Of course, there is little pollution in their times. So it is not a big problem to obtain water.
For modern people, we always use the drinking hand pressure pump to gain water from bottled water. It is easy and convenient. However, in ancient times, they hadn’t grasped the key technology of pumping. So they can only drink water from rivers and brooks.
Ancient people also do washing and bathing in a boorish way. We even can’t be sure if they had a bath every day. And we don’t know if they had a cloth, like our towels to dry their body, though. Of course, nowadays we can easily buy soft bathroom towels from a supermarket or online.
We are lucky to live in this modern society. All things are easy to get and we have so much choice to gain what we need in daily life. Convenience and multi-functions are characters of all family products. However, our sky is not as blue as it used to be anymore and pollution appears everywhere.
Maybe it is a price of civilization. Live life for the moment and be thankful for all no matter what you have gone through.
