Cant get enough of the guitar? Need to practice for the next gig on the move? Taken some time off and need to harden up your fingertips? You can now give your fingers the fix they need wherever you are, with our range of pocket guitars, designed for practicing your chords silently and on the move.
It looks and feels really strange, and it is definitely for a really targeted audience who are looking to make the most of their idle time and practice. If you are a specialist in the art of playing guitar or a beginner looking to fast pace your finger skills then read on as we take it for a quick photo shoot and try.
How does it work?
It is very simple, just slide it open and you have the top part of your guitar.
It is a silent practice tool that does not need strumming and allows you to focus just on your finger movements and improving both speed and proper movement between chords.
Initially it is a tad awkward as you are not used to just the tip of the guitar so it throws your natural guitar posture out the door, the larger one seemed more comfortable in terms of making the mental adjustment between a real guitar and a the Pocket guitar. The adjusting screws allow you to set the string tension and also are used for replacing strings.
What’s included in the pack
The standard package includes all these items.
The simple design is built as one piece that slides open, a carry case, pick and hex key to adjust the string tension.
There are a few sizes around with different numbers of fretts and I would recommend the larger 6 fret version one as it feels more like a guitar. Its a simple and highly specialized musical item that can keep you practicing and improving beyond the standard playing environment.
The 6 fret one I used is here and there is also a smaller 4 fret model. See All
