The illuminating spin on tetris.

Who doesn’t like playing tetris! This Russian game has been one of many people’s favorite so we decided to check out a tetris LED build-in desk lamp.

About The Tetris LED Light.

The light is made of 7 individual tetriminoes pieces. Each tetrimino piece has a different color and shape, and measures about 4cm x 4cm x 4cm. The pieces can be stacked in any combination and give the light whatever shape you want. You can change the tetris lamp’s shape anytime you want, even everyday, and that’s what makes it an interesting light to have.

The tetris Led desk lamp comes with an AC adapter. The adapter’s cord is not to long so you need to place the lamp close to a plug.

The blue tetromino piece (base) has the power socket. The rest of the pieces have no sockets. When you have the blue tetrimino plugged in the adapter and you start adding the rest of the pieces on it, they will magically illuminate once they touch each other. The tetriminoes are metal-edged so once the metal parts of two pieces touch, the lights will turn on. All you need to light up the whole light is one piece, the base.

If you remove a piece from the rest of the tetris light, it will immediately turn off.

You need to make sure the pieces are properly attached to each other, because if they are not the LED lights will flicker. It’s not difficult to do it; if you see one flickering just move it a bit around and it should be fine.

What you could do is to have more than one tetris lights and combine them together. In that way you can create even more different spaces and choose how big you want the lamp to be. Since the tetriminoes light up when they touch each other you won’t need to use a second base. One is just enough.

All in all, we loved this light. It’s so unique and it looks really nice in the dark.
