Apple, Samsung and Xioami are the big players on the top end of the cell phone market competing for RAM, CPU and screen size but Soyes is one of the brands focusing on making a phone small enough to carry anywhere offering a sleek list of essential features, they call this the Micro phone market.
Micro phones are designed to fit into your wallets card holder and are a lite alternative to your “normal” smartphone.
Do wallet phones really work?
Yes, but it’s functions are focused around making calls and sending SMS. A phone like this is not practical for
our interconnected daily lives, you won’t be able to check your Facebook or even connect to the internet but these are so tiny you can stick them in your wallet and are great for emergencies, keeping connected to your kids, making sure you don’t take the office with you when on holiday, creating a buzz at social occasions or just to disconnect from the busy Smartphone lifestyle.
The SOYES H1
Soyes have pushed out an aluminum framed glossy black phone, the H1 that from the outside looks amazing. After playing with it for a few hours in the office i have made this overview into the world of Micro Phones.

What can it do?

The basic functions of a regular phone are included;
- Calling;
- SMS;
- Radio;
- Pedometer;
- Radio;
- Music Player;
- Calendar.
Aside from the basic functions the phone has some cool Bluetooth phone options that extend the functions to include;
- Connection to you regular phone for calling, SMS and phonebook sync;
- Remote shutter to control your normal phones photo button;
- Locate your phone if you have lost it nearby;
- Music sync with your Smartphone tunes.
Who needs a phone like this?
Phones like these are perfect in some situations,
- For your children, To have that mobile connection without having to worry about data plans and Smartphone’s.
- For traveling, they are light and easy to carry around.
- For novelty and recreation.
- Connecting developing counties and building.
- Tablet lovers who don’t want to carry around a smart phone and a tablet.
- If you have multiple SIM cards and want to keep them all connected, these are lighter and cheaper than a Smartphone.
How easy is it to use?
The first step is to install the SIM card, to do this you need to remove a cover and slide in a Micro SIM. It is a tiny T screw and thankfully the accessories include the screwdriver.

When using the phone the touch sensitive buttons are easy to use and didn’t experience and confusion between buttons as they are not that close together that your finger is too big. You don’t get a huge amount of text per screen but font and size is easy to read.
Overall the interface is very similar to the Nokia both in terms of navigation and also system sounds. If you are going to type lots of messages you will have to get used to the T9 style keyboard.

Coupled with the extended Bluetooth functions I would classify the H1 as one of the more advanced credit card micro phones and as expected it is the top end on our pricing.
