JJRC has launched a new range of crawlers all priced at less than $50. The JJRC QX62,63 and 64 crawlers are classic military style vehicles and offer tremendous bang for your buck.
Racers are fast and agile, crawlers are slower, stronger and usually driven on steep inclines or rough terrain. The challenge is to navigate these uneven areas without getting stuck, rolling or slipping as you crawl. Some challenges even involve payloads that must not spill or fall off. We take a look at these JJRC budget crawlers to see what you get under the hood.
The Suspension and Drivetrain
- With both 4 and 6 wheel drive models JJRC crawlers have a differential on each axle for improved cornering.
- With real leaf spring suspension, the crawler has a realistic heavy truck suspension system.
- There are 2 motor speeds for crawling and regular driving. A button on the transmitter alternates between the modes.
JJRC QX62, QX63, and QX64 Overall impression
JJRC has created a fully functional crawler that is able to climb delicately some steep inclines. If you have not tried crawling or are looking for a new budget crawler, JJRC had created a robust entry-level crawler.
$50 only gets you so much, if you want the top of the range heavy duty crawlers with advanced geaboxes, see our full crawler list.
