HBS2 is a diesel air heater all-in-one, so it is easy to install. I literally took it out of the box, set up the pipes, then hooked up the power, and it was ready to work. It is very convenient as there’s no faffing about with fuel lines or mounting brackets, while for safety, the exhaust pipe should be put outside.
Powerful & Fast Heating: Get Warm in Minutes
With a power range of 5-8KW, this thing heats up a space incredibly fast. While I haven’t had a chance to test it on a truly cold night yet, I did a brief test in my RV. Within minutes, I could feel the air warm.
The extended 1.7-meter cable for the indoor control panel is a huge plus, as it allows for more accurate temperature sensing inside the heated area, so I wasn’t constantly messing with the settings and preventing the common problem of a heater getting too hot and then cycling off, leaving you cold. It also has 10 gear options to allow you to adjust to the most comfortable temperature.
The 3.5L built-in tank is a great size. Hcalory claims it can run continuously for 7.5 hours, which is more than enough for a week’s commute. The heater also features intelligent intermittent operation, allowing it to run in cycles to maintain a consistent temperature, which helps you save more diesel.
Intelligent Control: Effortless Operation from Anywhere
The three control methods—LCD panel, remote, and Bluetooth app—are fantastic. While it’s currently summer and I haven’t had a chance to test it on a cold night, I can already tell that the Hcalory app will be my go-to control method. Because I find it hard to get out of a warm bed to turn off a light in the cold night, the Hcalory App control is the savior for me! The app also supports monitoring the voltage and setting the auto Start-Stop, which is super convenient for maintaining a consistent temperature.
Fuel-Efficient & Versatile: Save Money, Go Anywhere
Hcalory claims the fuel consumption is a mere 0.12 L/h – 0.45 L/h, which seems very accurate based on my initial tests. It saves up to 28% fuel compared with other diesel air heaters. optimization feels real.
What is more, it offers dual high-altitude modes (2500m/5000m). They optimize the air-fuel ratio to ensure full combustion, which prevents the heater from getting choked up. It is important for me, cause I plan to high-altitude drive-self trip this winter.
