How is DJI O4 Air Unit?
The DJI O4 Air Unit is just 8.2 grams. It ranks among the lightest VTX systems available today. Besides, compact in form yet powerful in performance. Its transmitter is at 30×30×6 mm, and O4 Air Unit camera module is 13.44×12.36×16.5 mm. With such a compact and lightweight design, it will not affect flying your drone. With its 20×20 mm mounting pattern, it fits easily onto most 2-inch or smaller drone frames.
Inside the small frame sits a 1/2-inch CMOS image sensor, capable of recording crisp 4K/60fps video in MP4 format. Footage flows at up to 100 Mbps, supported by RockSteady 3.0+ stabilization or Gyroflow for smooth post-production correction.
Transmission comes through strong and stable via a single 1T1R O4 Air Unit antenna, reaching up to 10 km (FCC) or 6 km (CE). Latency stays impressively low — about 20 milliseconds when connected with DJI Goggles 3 in Racing Mode — keeping control and vision perfectly in sync.
Power comes easily to the unit through a flexible input voltage range of 3.7–13.2 volts, supporting 1S to 3S systems without the need for extra regulators. Integration with most FPV setups happens cleanly and without fuss.
What’s more, 1080p/100fps live view, 60 MHz transmission bandwidth, and 23 GB of built-in storage remove the need for an SD card entirely.

Weighing 32 grams total (15.6 g for the VTX alone), it is heavier than DJI O4 Air Unit. That is for its larger diameter and the CMOS camera sensor. As it is designed for the larger drone frame, it does not affect drone flying much.
Its 33.5×33.5×13 mm transmission module and 25.55×20×23.3 mm camera fit both 20×20 mm and 25.5×25.5 mm mounts, ideal for 3-inch and larger drone frames.
