Eachine has recently launched its new Tiny Whoop alternative, the innovative Aurora 90mm mini RPV racing drone. It comes equipped with 1104 7500 KV brushless motors, Dshot support, ESCs with BLHELI_S and a Halocube Betaflight F3 6DOF flight controller.
It offers a wide range of customizability and can be tweaked to match your flying style. It is built to be ideal for learning not only to fly FPV but also program a quad.
The drone also features a unique carbon frame design that protects both the transmitters and propellers, much like a Tiny Whoop.
The frame
All frame elements of Aurora 90 are in 3K carbon, even its ducted system, the result is light and strong. The machine standalone weights just 72.7grams, so with its 2S 450mAh Lipo, the total weight is around 100g.
FPV
Its 25mW AIO camera provides live video straight to your goggles or screen. In fact, 200mW would have been a much better choice to ensure a long distance video range. Although having only a25mw would greatly reduce the battery consumption of the video transmission system, at only 5 mins expected flight time you need every bit of juice for your motors.
The angle of 600 TVL camera is manually adjustable. The real-time video transmission is made possible using its 25mW/48CH VTX.
Is It A Halo 90?
The frame of Aurora 90 appears to be a clone of Halo 90, a well-designed frame with solid protection of all major parts. Many other minis, including the Eachine 120 falcon have an exposed camera meaning in a crash things can get messy, the Auroua 90 covers everything but the battery.
Ducted and protected props
The Eachine Aurora 90 has the same ducted fan design as the popular TW. It also has super bright LEDs on the rear so you can easily keep orientation outdoors. It’s tiny but has a lot of power.

If you already have a preferred transmitter, you can easily order it with DSMX, Frsky, or FLysky AFHDS2 radio receiver.
Aurora 90 drone’s advertised flight time is around 4 minutes, so grab a few extra batteries for a charge free session.
