Straight out of the box you can just connect your phone and play, however, full functionality is achieved when you use their smartphone app.

Using the app
All the advanced setup requires the use of an app, available for both Apple and Android . With it, you can create personal drawings as well as animations easily.
The Divoom Aurabox has an advanced notification system, you can program patterns for the LED’s to show when you receive alerts.
The alerts are great , especially if you keep your phone on silent or in vibrate mode. The connection is Bluetooth tho, so you still need to keep the phone nearby.
Battery Life?
The internal battery is rated for about 6 hours of playback, that is about average for a speaker, it if it is living on your desk, you can easily just leave it always plugged in for an endless stream of music and notifications.
