Digoo M2, at only $19.99 it is one of the cheapest full motion cameras in the world. The tiny cam is supported by a subscription free app and offers great modern day alerts and monitoring direct from your phone.
Instruction Free Setup
Digoo makes it easy, all the camera has is one mini USB plug on the back, just plug in the cable any USB power source, like your phone charger, and you can power the Digoo. Once you have the power sussed you need the app. A bracket for ceiling or wall mounting is included, but it can easily just be placed on a flat surface.
For more advanced control there is also desktop PC software, however, we were satisfied with the APP and didn’t try the PC Software.
Using the app
Once you install the app, it takes only 60 seconds to setup, all you need to do is tell it your home WiFi details. Once the camera connects to your wifi, you can access the camera on your phone.
All controls and monitoring are done through your smartphone. The simple fully English UI makes navigating the options easy.
Digoo M2 Camera Controls

The interface is really simple, it is similar to if you have a photo and are zoomed in on it, you jut move the screen with your finger and the camera will move to that area. It is almost an instant response, provided the WiFi or internet signal is reliable. (You can access it from your 4G data connection when you are out and about.)
Motion Detection Alerts
The motion detection mode gives you the options of having an alert sent direct to your phone when movement is detected in front of the camera. It will call you and you can watch the live video. You can also set it up to save the alerts as photos/videos and access the history from your phone.
Video quality

Bearing in mind it is under twenty dollars it provides a nice clear photo in regular lighting environments. For many IP cams tho it is the connection quality/lags that are more an issue. We found our office WiFi was smooth at streaming the video to our iPhone.
Build quality
It is light thin plastic and not designed for a rough environment, it is ok for in an office or at home, but if you are looking to keep an outside area or somewhere it might get knocked or hit, you should grab something built tough, such as the SIC1.
Overall
Considering this camera has all the function of a top end camera it has punched a huge hole in what we would normally expect from an entry level budget camera.
Something with so much value can’t replace a top end one, and here are the areas it does fall short compared to the higher price options. It is not intended as a pro camera but there was one feature we missed in the Digoo, a wired LAN connection. Not having this means you need to be sure the location you put the camera has a good signal to your home WiFi router. It’s easy to test tho, if your phone can get a signal in the room you want to install it, it will be ok.
Security doesn’t get any cheaper than Digoo.
Overall we couldn’t recommend more the M2 for an average home setup, it packs an all around collection of features, alerts and connection options to suit most homes and offices.
