BlitzWolf BW-AS2 is an impressive 40W 2.1 wireless speaker that’s loaded with power. If you’re not happy with the bass of Stereo Bluetooth speakers, the BW-AS1’s dedicated 20W subwoofer driver produces a mighty kick.
Key features of the AS2
Here are the things that make it different from the BW AS1.
Design
AS2 has a more traditional black grill with brushed metal accents and has a very different look than the style of the original AS1. Its simple design gives it a universal ability to look in place in most environments.

There are 6 plastic control buttons on the top right and a status LED.
2.1 vs stereo

There are 2 stereo channels on the front and the sub is on the top. This arrangement gives you clear channel separation when in front of the speaker and projects the base into the whole room. Passive radiators on the ends also create low-frequency output.
More power and a larger battery
30W is high for a portable speaker of this size and all that strength is powered by a large battery, which still has a comparatively short runtime. Rated specs are only giving you a few hours of battery life on a charge. We tested the speaker over an evening watching a movie and listening to some music and it still had power left. So we expect the rating to be for high volume bassy music.
18V input
You have regular USB for universal charging and also something not often seen, a dedicated 18V charging port. The 18V power input is enough for nonstop music and we recommend keeping it plugged in at home so you can enjoy the speaker anytime.
How does it really perform?
It’s clear the AS2 is for bass lovers and the output has more strength in the lows. The AS1 has an impressive design more powerful mids and highs and long battery life. You also get the benefit of a micro SD card slot for listening without connecting an external device.
With a much larger battery and 18V input, this is a step up from their other portable speakers. If you enjoy real bass on the move the AS2 is our top pick.
